The RanchThe identity of Young America's Foundation is directly tied to President Reagan. Mr. Reagan addressed Young America's Foundation audiences beginning in the 1970s when he served as Governor of California.
So, in 1998, when Young America's Foundation saw an extraordinary opportunity to save a precious piece of American history and, and at the same time, exponentially increase our ability to fulfill our mission, we knew we had to act.
When Young America's Foundation discovered that President Reagan's ranch in California, Rancho del Cielo, stood in danger of being purchased by people with no regard for its historic value or the Reagan legacy, we acted immediately. For Young America's Foundation, whose own history and ethos is tied directly to President Reagan, saving the ranch offered an unmatchable opportunity to protect his legacy and advance conservative principles. Rancho del Cielo is a 688-acre property comparable to Mount Vernon, Monticello or the Eisenhower Farm and it deserves the same reverence as other presidential homes. It was the Western White House where President Reagan spent 345 days of his Presidency, hosted world leaders, signed important legislation and made historic decisions. The Reagans owned the property for twenty-four years, the only property they owned while Ronald Reagan was President.
On April 21, 1998, Young America's Foundation acquired the Reagan Ranch with the blessings of President and Mrs. Reagan.
Now, we are working to train a New Generation of young Conservative leaders in the Spirit of the Reagans. Rancho del Cielo is the centerpiece of the Foundation's Reagan Ranch Program. This bold outreach program fosters the virtues of individual freedom, limited government, patriotism and traditional values in America's future leaders.
In teaching young people about the Reagan legacy we instill the very ideas that have been the core of the Foundation's mission for over thirty years.
But the Ranch needs your support to fulfill its mission. Please click here to help train our Conservative leaders of tomorrow.
